Job description

Part-time Forklift Operators are an essential part of the Jay Group team. In this position you will be responsible for moving materials throughout the warehouse to support Operation goals. Qualified applicants must have experience operating a Cherry/Order Pickers, High-Reach trucks, and sit down. Apply today to work with a dedicated team in a clean warehouse!

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday - 6:00am to 4:30pm (2 10 hour days)

Forklift Operator Job Duties:

  1. Unloads materials out of vehicles/trailers using equipment.
  2. Operates equipment including, but not limited to: High-Reach trucks, Cherry/Order Pickers, and sit down trucks to move material from pallets, trays, racks or shelves.
  3. Loads vehicles/trailers by installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  4. Forklift Operator will update WMS accurately on equipment and will use RF scanning devices.
  5. Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment, including attending training, following prescribed safety regulations, and maintaining appropriate safety inspection logs.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
  7. Overtime will be required based on business need as required in this position.

Qualifications:

  1. At least six (6) months’ experience operating high reach equipment.
  2. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining accurate information
  3. Punctuality, reliability, and being prepared for work.
  4. Have a reliable means of transportation to comply with shift hours.
  5. Applicants will be required to pass assessments: written and on high reach equipment prior to job offer.
  6. Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
  7. Ability to work legally in the United States.
