Job description

Part-time/Casual opportunity working Monday through Friday during standard business hours to provide coverage support for Patient Access staff across all Gillette Children's metro locations. This role requires a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week (equivalent to two full business days). Please note, this position is not eligible for benefits.

This position exists to provide access (registration and scheduling) for patients, families and providers to Gillette’s complex services. Promotes and maintains excellent and positive patient and family experience as the first impression of the organization.  Patient Access float positions travel throughout the metro sites to provide coverage for essential PAS positions.

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $21.83/hour to $32.72/hour, with a median wage of $27.27/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Benefits are not offered for this position. 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year experience with customer service, administrative, or healthcare setting
  • Ability to cover at 2+ locations and available to work a minimum of 16 hours (2 full days) during essential business hours.
    • Site locations: Burnsville Clinic, 435 Phalen, Saint Paul main campus, Maple Grove, and River Park Plaza (Central Scheduling).

Preferred:

  • Advanced education (Associate or Bachelor’s)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced education (Associates or Bachelors Degree)
  • Knowledge & understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge & understanding of commercial insurance carriers and standard insurance forms
