Power Play Distributors is a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) company based in Bolingbrook, IL that is responsible for the distribution of premium frozen pizza products throughout the Midwestern states.
Job Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Position Summary: Perform duties to merchandise products and ensure all products are fully stocked, rotated and properly displayed. Work from verbal orders and written procedure documents:
  • Fosters business relationship with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities discussions. Remove product from backroom freezers and, using cart, move to sales floor.
  • Fills, merchandises, and rotates products on display and the shelf according to procedures and special programs.
  • Organizes and maintains back room by stacking and arranging product by case and SKU, arranging the return of empty pallets, damaged and out of date product to the branch.
  • Maintain standard reports of cases and hours worked at each store.
  • Communicate issues and/or concerns to Sales Representatives and/or District Manager.

Knowledge/skills:
  • Organizational Skills: Main responsibility is to organize products.
  • Computer literacy
  • Market and Product knowledge
  • Ensure all products have a shelf tag.
  • Must have effective communication skills which include listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Merchandisers must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively to satisfy the needs of a variety of customers with different demands and expectations.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
