    The Seamer is responsible for keeping staff uniforms in good repair and making uniform alterations.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Operating sewing machines, steamers and irons
    • Complying with policies and procedures, daily memorandums, and other instructions
    Qualifications
    • Three (3) years experience in industrial sewing including use of blind stitch machines and overlock machines
    • Experience in fittings, major alterations, resizing of garments and basic sewing machine maintenance
    • Experience with Invotech GIMS (Garment Inventory Management System) preferred
    • Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, lighting and air quality
    • Ability to work at a height of three (3) inches to twelve (12) inches above floor level as necessary for alterations, operate sewing machines, steamers and irons
    • Ability to reach a height of six (6) feet for garment bags and fabric
    • Manual dexterity as required for sewing, mending and handling fabric
    • Must possess intermediary math skills necessary to take measurements for making and sizing uniforms
    • Able to communicate professionally in English, both oral and written
