STARTING RATE: $14.00
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Alcohol Awareness Card
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide premier customer service to every guest that comes into any of our Gift Shop locations and maintain a well stocked, clean, and attractive retail environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is required. Must be computer literate in operating Gift shop cash registers. Must possess basic math skills in order to process sales and balance cash drawer. Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Must be customer service oriented.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Welcome every guest that enters our Gift Shops, and assist them with their Gift Shop purchases in a prompt and courteous manner.

  1. Process sales transactions for our guests in an accurate and timely manner.

  1. Work in cooperation with Gift Shop Supervisors and coworkers in maintaining a clean, orderly, and well stocked gift shop in order to accommodate our guests.

  1. Participate in daily pre-shift meetings in order to be up on current company and departmental information in order to be able to better serve our guests.

  1. Follow the direction of Gift Shop Supervisors and upper management; and work with coworkers in a manner which will create mutual respect and display teamwork.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, (Cont.):
  1. Accurately balance your cash drawer at the end of each worked shift.

  1. Maintain the snack and cigarette vending machines in clean, well stocked, and operating condition at all times.

  1. Communicate vending machine product needs to the appropriate property Supervisor in order to maintain fully stocked vending machines to prevent lost sales.

  1. Assist in conducting month end inventory for all Gift Shop outlets.

  1. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:
  • Greet every guest that enters our Gift Shops in a genuine friendly manner. Actively listen to them and address repeat customers by name.

  • Suggestively offer related gift shop merchandise. For example if a guest is buying a swimsuit, suggest related items like sunglasses, tanning products, visors, etc. When time allows, offer to gift wrap gift purchases for guest.

  • Offer to contact a Valet when a guest needs assistance transporting large gift purchases.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as typewriters and record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity, such as climbing ladders.
