Hospitality Specialist - Bartender (Seasonal Part-Time)
Severance Music Center | The Cleveland Orchestra
At Severance Music Center, hospitality is part of the performance.
As a Hospitality Specialist, you'll primarily serve as a bartender while helping create exceptional guest experiences throughout the venue. Whether preparing cocktails at one of our bars, serving guests in premium donor spaces, supporting weddings and special events, or assisting with food and beverage service, you'll represent The Cleveland Orchestra with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.
We're looking for hospitality professionals who take pride in excellent service, enjoy engaging with guests, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly and efficiently
  • Operate bar stations, maintain inventory, and keep work areas clean, organized, and guest-ready
  • Deliver exceptional guest service while anticipating guest needs
  • Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
  • Support premium hospitality, donor events, receptions, weddings, and other special events
  • Assist with food service, event setup, replenishment, transitions, and breakdown as needed
  • Maintain food safety, responsible alcohol service, and operational standards
  • Collaborate with teammates to deliver a seamless guest experience

Qualifications
Required:
  • Must meet Ohio age requirements for alcohol service
  • Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-facing experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events
  • Reliable, adaptable, and committed to outstanding guest service

Preferred:
  • High-volume bartending experience
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, clubs, event venues, or performing arts organizations
  • Alcohol service and food safety certifications
  • Point-of-sale experience
