We seek a passionate individual to join our team at Ristoranté Brissago, a contemporary Italian restaurant at the resort that sources local, seasonal ingredients. As a Part Time Server Assistnat at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will assist with delivery and service of hotel food and beverage offerings to the restaurant guests.
Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. What will you be doing?
  • Thoroughly understand the menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and expected service.
  • Deliver all required Service Accents to the guest (e.g., SSA presentation, bread presentation, horseradish/cheese grating, and dessert presentation).
  • Maintain a neat, clean, organized, safe work environment.
  • Transport and polish clean dishware, utensils and accessories as needed.
  • Comply with opening and closing procedures as well as complete side work.
  • Communicate with the culinary and management team throughout duration of shift.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints.
  • Clean and reset dining room tables and booths during and after meal
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Prior hospitality or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Must be proficient in multi-tasking and have the ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shift.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests. Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and/or transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
