To thrive as a Part Time Server, you need customer service skills, basic math ability, and knowledge of food safety, often acquired through on-the-job training or a food handler certificate. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software is typically required. Exceptional communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills help servers deliver a positive dining experience and handle busy shifts.
