Position Summary

BOTA Tapas & Paella Bar is seeking a professional, energetic, and guest-focused Part-Time Server to join our team. The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service while creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience for hotel guests and local patrons alike.

Schedule Availability

Applicants must be available to work:

  • Sunday

  • Monday

  • Tuesday

  • Shift hours: 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet guests promptly and professionally

  • Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system

  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to guest requests or concerns

  • Prepare and process guest checks and payments accurately

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas

  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines

  • Work cooperatively with kitchen, hotel, and management staff

  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times

Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred

  • Knowledge of tapas, Spanish cuisine, wine, and cocktails is a plus

  • Strong communication and guest service skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required

  • Must possess or be able to obtain Washington State Food Handler and MAST permits

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

  • Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds

  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and carrying items

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and busy restaurant environment

  • Manual dexterity to operate POS systems and restaurant equipment

  • Ability to safely navigate crowded dining and service areas
