Job description

Overview

Southeast Urogyn, a Partner Practice of Together Women's Health (TWH), an industry leading network of medical providers in the women's health field, is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their clinical team. As an experienced practitioner, the LPN is accountable for providing high quality, individualized, goal directed care for all patients and their families through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

This position is open to a Registered Nurse (RN) as well. 

Responsibilities

This role will primarily handle phones, RX refills, and clinical buckets. Will not work the floor, unless needed.

  • Answer all incoming call for clinic. Triage patients and answer clinical questions to support patient care
  • Counsels' patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level
  • Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient
  • Completes paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.
  • Support male program 
  • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and readies them for physicians; takes vital signs, records medical history/symptoms, ensures medical chart/lab test results are available and complete
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examination or treatments
  • Provides education and information to patients and family members
  • Consults with other specialties and disciplines as appropriate to meet all health care needs of patients
  • Uses organizational skills to effectively complete assignments in timely manner
  • Cleans and stocks all patient examination rooms; cleans and prepares instruments for procedures; keeps list of needed medical supplies
  • Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements
  • Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties
  • Document Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions
  • Assure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
Qualifications
  • Current license to practice as an LPN or RN
  • must be willing to support high volume calls a day
  • Current CPR certification
  • An Associate's or bachelor's degree, or higher
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care
  • You are a team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done
