Job description

The role of an Adjunct Professors is critical to fulfilling LBC's mission. There are seasons when the need for additional instructors is great and times when there are not many openings. Applications will be reviewed and considered as there are openings that fit your experience.
Job Title: Adjunct Professor
Status: Part time/Exempt
Reports to: Arts & Sciences Chair
Job Summary:
Lancaster Bible College Capital Seminary & Graduate School is expanding its adjunct instructor pool for English courses, including remedial, developmental, and academic writing and public speaking classes. Adjunct faculty are expected to excel in classroom instruction and to fulfill various responsibilities related to their assigned teaching duties. Preference is given to applicants who have classroom experience, especially at the college level.
Applicants will meet the following requirements:
• Articulate philosophy of teaching from a biblical worldview
• Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning
• Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
• Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
• Meet with and support students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
• Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
• Provide regular and timely feedback to students
• Available to teach early morning and/or late afternoon hours a plus

Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of a master's degree in English or related educational degree from an accredited institution
  • Higher education teaching experience preferred
  • Hybrid and remote instruction teaching experience a plus
