Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Instructor (Part-time) for the Center for Government Services. in the area of emergency response training. The Instructor will teach in one or more of the following areas between the Rutgers Center for Government Services and the New Jersey State Police:
  • Urban Search & Rescue
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Training & Education

Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Establishes the course environment and dismantling the course environment upon completion of the course.
  • Works with the appropriate State Police Unit.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience as a Certified Instructor.

Certifications/Licenses
  • Certified by the state and federal governments in relevant emergency management training.
  • Approved by the Center's Education Advisory Body for the New Jersey State Police Emergency Response Training Program consistent with the MOU between Rutgers and the New Jersey State Police.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
