Description
This position is responsible for overseeing and operating an assigned station in the cafeteria and providing friendly, efficient service to the campus community. The position will support daily cafeteria operations and help maintain a welcoming, clean, and well-organized dining environment.
Employment Type: Part-time/Temporary, Non-exempt (Hourly), Non-Benefits Eligible
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Temporary Appointment: This position is a temporary appointment with a defined start and end date.
*Based on departmental needs and performance, opportunities for continued employment, including potential full-time employment, may be considered.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES: To apply for this position, complete the online application below and submit a resume, if available.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare menu items including hamburgers, grilled chicken, fries, onion rings, etc.
  • Prepare menu items using flat top grill, gas fire grill, fryers
  • Prepare speciality menu items, as requested
  • Work with and mentor college student employees
  • Cheerfully greet and serve Dining Service guests
  • Option to work in the concession stand, as available
  • All other duties as assigned

Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the food industry, preferred.
