Job description

Part-time Bus Driver with a Valid CDL Driver's License and valid personal auto-insurance.
Language Skills:
Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals or technical procedures written in English and the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and provide physical assistance for all children, including children with special needs. Reasonable accommodation may be made for otherwise qualified persons with disabilities.
This position is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, cleanliness, and functionality of the campuses through providing routine, preventative, and general maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
CDL Requirements:
  • CDL license required; passenger or school bus endorsement
  • 1 + years' experience driving a school bus
  • No at-fault accidents in the last 5 years
  • Insurable driving record

CDL Responsibilities
  • Execute timely arrival at assigned schools
  • Safely transport children and staff
  • Obey the rules of the road
  • Report any mechanical issues and/or the need for gas or service
  • Performs monthly preventative and safety maintenance tasks, documenting necessary repairs and/or services, and performs ongoing maintenance as directed.
  • Communicates appropriately and effectively in both nonverbal and verbal styles with all children, co-workers, and guests.
  • Is able to legibly, accurately and thoroughly complete all documentation.
