Mission
The Camping Advisor is responsible for delivering comprehensive product show-throughs on the customer’s pickup day, promoting essential parts and accessories, following up with customers who did not purchase, and providing top-tier customer care in our store.  
Schedule
Part-time hours will vary week to week based on operational needs. Flexibility with scheduling, including some Saturdays, is required.
Pay
$17-$20/hour plus commission 
Outcomes
Successful candidates will provide: 

Delivery Day Experience: 
  • Conduct detailed, hands-on demonstrations of new units on the day customers pick up their RVs
  • Show customers how to operate and maintain their unit’s features, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable before they leave 
Sales of Essential Parts & Accessories: 
  • Qualify and gain customer agreement to sell comprehensive, added-value RV solutions including, protection, power, safety & towing, lifestyle, and essential camping accessories tailored to each customer’s specific needs and camping style 
  • Educate customers on how these products enhance their camping experiences and improve convenience, safety, and comfort 
Ongoing Customer Relationship Management:
  • Follow up with customers who did not purchase, offering additional information, answering questions, and addressing any hesitations or concerns 
  • Maintain long-term relationships with past customers, periodically reaching out to see how they’re enjoying their RV, suggesting new products, and encouraging future visits
In-Store Support & Merchandising: 
  • Assist in stocking and maintaining shelves of camping gear, ensuring product displays are neat, organized, and fully replenished 
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers, helping them locate parts, recommending accessories, and providing expert guidance on product selection
Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: 
  • Work closely with sales, parts, and service teams to ensure seamless customer experiences 
  • Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and camping best practices to continually improve recommendations and deliver greater value to customers 

Qualifications 
•    High school diploma 
•    Familiarity with RV operations, essential camping gear, and accessories 
•    Previous experience with automated inventory system helpful 
Competencies 
•    Professional, positive demeanor and customer friendly 
•    Aptitude for selling products and maintaining customer relationships 
•    Strong organizational and communication skills 
•    Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment 
•    Ability to work in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment 
Physical and Environmental Conditions 
•    Talking and hearing, walking and sitting, repetitive hand motion, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling,          climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands, are required. 
•    Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently, to move objects. 
•    Occasional exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as fumes, dust, and mechanical moving parts. May fill propane tanks.
