Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Research Support Associate to work in the Department of Health Informatics.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Support Associate will support the successful implementation and management of ongoing clinical research studies. Responsibilities include coordinating patient recruitment and enrollment activities, managing study documentation and data systems, and supporting day-to-day research operations. The Research Support Associate will serve as a liaison with the Rutgers Institutional Review Board (IRB), assisting with protocol submissions, amendments, and regulatory compliance. Additional duties include scheduling and coordinating participant visits and interviews, overseeing data collection and quality control processes, preparing reports, and collaborating closely with principal investigators and study staff to ensure adherence to study protocols and institutional guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Under direction, conducts participant screening and recruitment.
  • Participates in the collection, organization, and management of data.
  • Assists with facilitation of group and individual therapy sessions under supervision, in support of research or program activities.
  • Supports day-to-day research operation in the lab.
  • Serves as a liaison with the Rutgers IRB.
  • Assists with regulatory oversight activities by supporting compliance with applicable research and institutional requirements.
  • Conducts literature searches, as assigned.
  • Assists in preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
