Overview
Kalamazoo Country Club and Blush Salon + Spa are seeking a business-minded, experienced Massage Therapist who is passionate about therapeutic work, hospitality, and long-term growth. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has built a clientele, specializes in deep tissue and a variety of modalities, and is looking for a collaborative salon and spa to continue growing their business within.
This role may begin part-time with the opportunity to build into a full-time position. We partner closely with our therapists to support client growth, consistency, and career development in an elevated, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Be Doing
May include, but not limited to:
  • Greet everyone in salon with integrity, courtesy, and a friendly smile
  • Deliver exceptional massage experiences with a strong focus on deep tissue and therapeutic modalities
  • Build and maintain lasting client relationships rooted in trust and results
  • Collaborate with a supportive team that values education, excellence, and shared success
  • Contribute to a hospitality-driven guest experience from start to finish
  • Continue learning, growing, and refining your craft while sharing knowledge with others
  • Keep up to date spa guest information and record all formulas used in treatments or comments in salon software
  • Evaluate guest specific needs and expectations to determine the best appropriate services, products and personal attention required to achieve satisfaction
  • Have full knowledge of technical skills such as deep tissue, reflexology, shiatsu training sports massage, stone massage, additional education is highly valued
  • Offer services and products the salon/spa has available according to the quality standards established by management
  • Know how to operate all tools and equipment properly
  • Maintain opening and closing duties
  • Maintain acceptable level of cleanliness in room and equipment as required by law
  • Participate in all coaching, salon/ company meetings, and training sessions
  • Continually upgrade abilities through education and training made available
  • Know pricing, services, and policies of the Spa
  • Know names, purposes, benefits, procedures, and cost of every product offered, or know where to look for the information
  • Display confidence and professionalism at all times
  • Build retail and service business
  • Hand out personal spa business cards
  • Provide legendary service to clients
  • Be able to recruit new clients
  • Complete each service within the time frame designated for clients
  • When not servicing clients, tend to additional job responsibilities
  • Become proficient in our value added services
  • Interact cooperatively with other spa team members to provide a seamless customer experience at the Spa
  • Present a warm and gracious persona for customers and co-workers
  • Maintain an educational excellence
  • Present an exemplary professional standard in dress, personal grooming, hairstyle, makeup, language and healthy lifestyle.
  • Practice the highest standard of sanitation and tidiness
  • Actively build a repeat clientele, meet retail sales performance requirements, and consistently record and update all pertinent client records
  • Ability to have flexibility and effectively multitask
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Follow health code procedures, including equipment sanitation/ sterilization
  • Maintain high energy in order to work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Follow Greenleaf Hospitality Group procedures
  • All other duties that the Spa General Manager has set forth
