Minnesota State College Southeast seeks a Nursing Adjunct Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community.The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-culturalperspectives. - Deliver classroom, web-enhanced and/or online course instruction.
- Conduct classroom research and other assessment/evaluation activities.
- Mentor and advise student
Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement
- Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education.
- A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.
Occupational Experience Requirement
- Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
- As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.
Recency Requirement
Professional Requirement
- Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota.
- Other Requirement:Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments.
Preferred Qualification
- Familiar with Concept-Based Theory in nursing education
- Experience utilizing learning management systems such as D2L
- Previous teaching experience or demonstrated ability to teach in a Community College setting in both in-person and online learning environments
- An understanding and knowledge of classroom, lab, clinical and simulation teaching methods, skills, and issues along with an understanding of an array of academic areas/programs and related issues.
