The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring that the health and safety needs of all patients are met. This position is responsible for ensuring the facility complies with current regulations and standards of practice.
About Us:
Ecumen Lakeshore-The Fountains provides short-term rehab and post-hospital care for up to 60 patients in spacious, private rooms along the picturesque shore of Lake Superior. Nurses in the Fountains acquire a comprehensive skill set to include IV insertion and medication administration, lab draws, code response, complex wound care, advanced respiratory care and restorative nursing care in collaboration with the therapy team to support each patient's journey to health.
The targeted pay range for this job is $37.76 - $47.95 per hour.
  • Additional $2/hour Shift differential for the overnight shift

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  1. Completes initial assessment of potential patients. Implements service agreements with all patients upon move-in.
  2. Monitors and maintains each patient's medical record, ensures appropriate assessments are completed timely and documentation is appropriate, and confirms patients have current care plans in place.
  3. Ensures all physician orders are signed and implemented within 24 hours.
  4. Maintains and monitors medication administration program. Supervises medication practices and medical equipment being used in the building. Follows up with physicians regarding medications and/or medical conditions.
  5. Assists supervisor in providing health and medication training to all new team members as well as continued education for all staff and documents such training to assure compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Patient's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Previous experience working with seniors
