General Information:Job title: Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)Schedules Available: Part-time 2, 12 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday, scheduled between 4:00am - 5:30pm. One Saturday every other weekend.Holiday Requirement: Position required to participate in holiday rotation. Position Summary:The Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.Position Responsibilities:Assessment of Hemodialysis patients; leading to development, implementation and evaluation of plan of care.Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimens.Effectively manages rapidly changing patient stations, including delegating care to other department members.Assist providers with patient-related needs before, during, and after hemodialysis care; making sure their needs have been met in a timely, efficient, and caring manor.Triage and set up extra care at other facilities for the patients.Obtain lab specimens, perform lab competencies and quality controls on a regular basis.Educates patients and/or family members regarding disease process, individual care needs, safety issues, etc.Attend daily huddles, monthly meetings and participates in daily clinical decision making.Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor, Director and/or Providers.Position Requirements:Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree in nursing preferred.Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.BLS certification required.Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience providing clinical dialysis care to patients in either chronic or acute setting (can be completed during orientation).Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesIntermediate proficiency with computers is requiredComprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as renal dialysis machine, phoenix meter, etc.Thorough understanding of triage and effectively prioritizing patient care in daily schedule.Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.Strong quantitative and analytical competency.Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Why Mile Bluff Medical Center?Mile Bluff Medical Center is a place where people come first.
