Your future role at a glance

Location: Pensacola, FL

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola 

Department: Surgery 

Schedule: Day Shift | Part-time with call requirements

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
  • Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
  • Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
  • Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire dateor job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board ofNursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtainedprior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following:

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
