FLSA status: Non-Exempt: Part Time

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8am to 5pm

Wage Range: Wage is determined by number of years of transferrable experience and internal equity:

LPN: $28.70 up to $39.63 Hourly

RN: $34.52 to $55.60 Hourlyย

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct care of patients. ย Patients may include sub acute, convalescent, chronic patients or persons with disabilities.ย  The incumbent will serve as a member of interdisciplinary treatment or other relevant teams within RiverStone Health.ย  Primary responsibilities include assessment of patientsโ€™ needs, providing care and instruction, and communicating observations and changes to relevant team members.ย 

Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:ย 

A.ย ย  General Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Responsibilitiesย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  95%

  • Provide direct patient care in compliance with RiverStone Health policies as well as any programmatic policies

  • Assess patient needs, answer patient questions, provide assistance and education to patients

  • Measure and record patient vitals, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

  • Screen and administer vaccines

  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and intravenous fluids under provider orders

  • Draw blood through routine venipuncture, process and prepare specimens for testing

  • Perform quality control testing and Point-of-Care testing

  • Perform wound care, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring, under provider orders

  • Perform patient X-rays as ordered by the provider. Process and send images for over read (if licensed as Radiology Limited Certificate holder)

  • Assist with patient triage

  • Assist with procedures

  • Assist with prescription refills

  • Assist with vaccine management program

  • Assist with supply ordering, inventory, and organization

  • Make appointments, keep records, and perform other clerical duties.

  • Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.

  • Documents care provided, including medical histories, treatments, and progress, in electronic medical records according to documentation standards

  • Attends meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions and reviews publications/audio-visual materials to be come and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in assigned work areas.

Education and Experience:ย 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of a State accredited Licensed Practical Nursing or Registered Nurse Program

  • Considerable patient care and nursing experience

  • Any combination of experience and training which provide the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with target population specific to program

  • Licensed as a Radiology Limited Certificate holder in the State of Montana (preferred, but not required)

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of Montana and holds unrestricted License

  • Valid State of Montana Driverโ€™s License

  • Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) for Basic Life Support (BLS)
