Registered Nurse (RN) - Vascular

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, must work 2 shifts every 2 weeks

Our Vascular unit specializes in caring for patients with complex vascular and circulatory conditions, as well as general medical and postsurgical needs. Patients on this unit may include those with peripheral vascular disease, arterial and venous disorders, wound complications, postoperative vascular care, and chronic conditions requiring ongoing monitoring and education. Nurses work closely with vascular surgeons, hospitalists, wound care specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver highquality, patientcentered care.

Nurses on this unit are provided the opportunity to earn dialysis certification as part of their professional development.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs 
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions 
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient 
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record 
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient 
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Alabama or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.  
• ACLS are required within six months of hire. 
• Two-three years of experience preferred, new grads welcome to apply.
