RN stands for registered nurse. Part-time RNs provide care for patients with illnesses and injuries. They often work in conjunction with physicians to develop treatment plans to help the patient become healthy again. Part-time RNs have the same job duties as full-time RNs; the main difference is that part-timers typically work thirty hours or less per week. Part-time RNs are not able to diagnose illnesses; once the doctor or other supervising health professional has determined what is ailing the patient, the RN is able to work with the patient to explain what the treatment plan entails and their role in recovery. As a part-time RN, your responsibilities may include documenting medical history, administering medications, and checking patient vital signs. You may also advise patients and families about how to continue treatment at home and how to prevent future illnesses.

We are looking for a Full-Time healthcare provider for our Heritage Center situated in Huntington, WV. This role is open to either a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant, and we encourage new graduate NPs to apply.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $116,000, along with an uncapped incentive compensation bonus program.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Advanced Practice Provider will report to the Director of Clinical Practice and/or the Area Clinical Practice Manager. This role involves collaborating on-site with the Center Leadership Team to meet specific center goals and priorities. Additionally, the Advanced Practice Provider will work alongside the Medical Director and/or Attending Physician to deliver patient-specific medical care.
The Advanced Practice Provider will offer primary and urgent care services to residents of the nursing center, working in conjunction with other medical professionals. This position aims to fulfill our organization’s mission of enhancing lives through high-quality healthcare and compassionate service.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate must have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, hold a registered nurse license, and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by completing an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing, specializing in Older Adult and/or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Other specialties may be considered based on experience and organizational needs. For Physician Assistants, graduation from an ARC-PA accredited program and passing the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) is required, along with state licensure and NCCPA certification.
A minimum of two years of experience working with adult or geriatric populations is preferred.
In states where applicable, the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) must possess an unrestricted professional license and DEA registration for each state of practice. Similarly, the Physician Assistant must have an unrestricted professional license and DEA registration for their practice states.
