Job description

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists is looking for a part-time RN to join our Glacier Creek Pain Management Surgery Center!

24 hours per week. No weekends, on-call or holidays! Pay is based on years of experience

The RN Pain Blocks role involves providing direct bedside care with a focus on pain management through various pain block techniques. This position requires collaboration with medical teams to prepare and perform mixed pain block procedures safely and effectively during standard day shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient condition and pain levels
  • Prepare patients and equipment for pain block procedures
  • Maintain sterile technique during procedures
  • Perform mixed pain block techniques safely
  • Document procedures and patient responses accurately
  • Provide patient education on pain management and post-procedure care
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members
  • Monitor patients throughout and after procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Licensure/Certifications
  • Current NYS RN License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
