Registered Nurse II (RN II) - Interventional Radiology (IR)

RN II- Interventional Radiology

Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, TX 76012

Work hours:Part Time; 24 hours; 3 x 8 hour shift. 7:30a-4pm; rotating call

Here's What You Need

Education

        Nursing Diploma required Or

        Associate's Degree Nursing required Or

        Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Experience

2 years IR experience strongly preferred and/or 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without IR experience.

Licenses and Certifications

        RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required And

        BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And

        ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required And

        NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days required And

        CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

What You Will Do

 Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process 
 Assesses the patient 
 Plans the care of the patient 
 Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions 
 Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care 
 Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information 
 Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, while expediting out of hospital transfers
