Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Sep 14, 2026 Length: 14 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and prior travel nursing experience. Details Emergency Department unit setting Night shift schedule (7p-7a) 12-hour shifts over a 13-week assignment No on-call responsibilities Meditech EMR experience required Requirements Active NYS RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Prior travel nursing experience required Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred Meditech EMR experience required Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations Ability to assess patient safety needs and use lifts appropriately Additional Information Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted May be required to assume charge nurse duties Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation Must become defibrillation certified within six months of employment Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation First-time travelers are not eligible due to required travel experience American Traveler Job ID P-748340.
