Job description

) Part-Time & PRN | $24-$29/hr Base + Premium Post-Op Opportunities ($30-$35/hr)
Looking to Supplement Your Income Without Picking Up Another Hospital Shift?
At RNS Private Duty Care, we're inviting LPNs and RNs to join us in a caregiver-style role, providing one-on-one support in the home while earning a higher hourly rate than traditional caregiving.
This is perfect for nurses who:
  • Want extra income without burnout
  • Prefer calm, one-on-one environments
  • Miss actually connecting with patients
  • Want occasional high-paying specialty assignments

Most shifts are supportive, 1:1 care where your nursing background makes you invaluable, but without the chaos of a facility.
And when available, our White-Glove Post-Op Program offers short term 24-48 hour cases at $45/hr, supporting cosmetic surgery clients with comfort care, safety oversight, transportation, and recovery monitoring. These specialty assignments are limited. but highly rewarding financially and professionally.
Why Nurses Choose RNS:
  • Competitive base pay ($25-$28/hr depending on skill set and availability)
  • Flexible scheduling that works around your primary job
  • Low-stress, one-on-one client environments
  • Premium post-op opportunities ($45/hr when assigned)
  • Safe, vetted homes; we only send you where we'd go ourselves
  • Ongoing support from experienced nurse leadership
  • Locally owned, team-oriented culture that values your license and your time

What This Role Looks Like:
While you're licensed as an LPN or RN, most assignments function in a caregiver capacity, including:
  • Providing one-on-one support in the home
  • Assisting with daily living activities
  • Medication reminders or administration (when applicable)
  • Safety oversight and companionship
  • Monitoring condition changes and communicating with the care team
  • Light documentation per RNS standards

For post-op assignments:
  • Comfort support and recovery monitoring
  • Pain management support (non-clinical oversight)
  • Transportation and errands
  • Safety supervision during the first 24-48 hours post-surgery

Qualifications:
  • Current Kansas or Missouri LPN or RN license (in good standing)
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills
  • CPR certification (or completion within 90 days of hire)
  • TB test (current or within 90 days of hire)
  • Prior home health or private duty experience preferred, but not required
