Job description

St. John the Evangelist School, located in Severna Park, MD, is seeking a Part-Time Daily Substitute Nurse. The Part-Time Registered Nurse will work closely with the school community to maintain a healthy and safe environment for students and staff. The nurse will provide health services, respond to student health needs, administer medications as required, and support the overall well-being of the school community.
Essential Functions
  • Provide first aid, medical care, and emergency care services to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Administer medications and treatments to students as ordered by students' physicians.
  • Assist in the collection and management of health forms.
  • Create and maintain documentation of all encounters, assessments, and interventions.
  • Serve as liaison between students, teachers and families in regards to health concerns.

Position Qualifications
  • Current Maryland RN license - BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Nursing experience in a high school setting.
  • Current Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to quickly and competently assess medical situations and escalate as needed.

Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00, Hourly
