Part Time Rn Insurance information

What does a part time RN insurance do?

A part-time RN in insurance typically reviews medical records, evaluates insurance claims, and provides clinical expertise to help determine coverage or benefits. They may work with claims adjusters, underwriters, or case managers to assess the medical necessity of treatments and ensure policies are followed. Their work is mainly administrative and analytical, rather than direct patient care, and their schedule allows for flexibility compared to full-time roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time RN insurance?

To thrive as a Part Time RN Insurance, you need a valid RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations. Familiarity with insurance claims processing systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and utilization review tools is often required. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills help you effectively collaborate with patients, providers, and insurance teams. These competencies are crucial for ensuring accurate case reviews, efficient claims processing, and compliance with industry standards.

Position Status: Part Time Flex: Saturday 7:00am-7:00pm and Sunday 7:00am-5:00pm

Remote Contrast Program

This is a patient-safety-focused nursing role that supports CT and MRI contrast examinations through live, two-way audio/video collaboration with a supervising radiologist. The onsite RN is the clinical link between the patient, technologist, and remote radiologist-helping ODCAL expand access while maintaining established safety, documentation, and emergency-response standards. The radiologist participates in real time, the imaging technologist performs modality-specific duties, and the RN remains onsite to assess the patient, coordinate the encounter, document care, and respond if an adverse event occurs.

  • Medication and medical-supply quality control, including daily emergency-equipment readiness checks and staff support/training.

  • Communication of critical results, acceptance of verbal orders, or schedule review when trained and permitted by policy and applicable scope-of-practice requirements.
  • Support for emergency drills, CPR/BLS readiness, and nursing assistance across ODCAL locations and communication channels when assigned.

This role offers full benefits, along with a competitive compensation package that includes base pay, and a comprehensive program designed to support your health, well-being, and future:

  • Shift Differential Pay for Saturday & Sunday Shifts
  • Quarterly Bonus Program
