About the Role

Fairmarkit is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time People Operations Consultant to support our People team during a temporary leave of absence.

This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day People Operations and ensuring continuity across core HR processes. The consultant will independently manage onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance activities, employee data management, performance review administration, and other recurring People Operations responsibilities while partnering closely with the VP, People.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment. Success in this role comes from strong execution, attention to detail, excellent organization, and the ability to manage recurring responsibilities accurately and on time.

ResponsibilitiesEmployee Lifecycle
  • Manage onboarding for new hires through Rippling, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Support employee offboarding, including system updates, documentation, and offboarding workflows.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and employment data within Rippling.
  • Process employee changes, including promotions, compensation changes, title changes, manager changes, and other employment updates.
  • Respond to employee questions and provide day-to-day People Operations support.
Benefits & Leave Administration
  • Coordinate employee leave administration and partner with leave management vendors (Tilt/Guardian).
  • Assist with annual benefits renewal activities, including open enrollment preparation and employee communications.
  • Support employee benefit questions and enrollment changes.
Compliance & HR Administration
  • Coordinate 401(k) administration and recurring compliance activities.
  • Support annual HR audit and compliance initiatives.
  • Process unemployment verification requests.
  • Track employment authorization and visa-related documentation.
  • Ensure HR records and documentation remain complete, accurate, and compliant.
Global People Operations
  • Support employees hired through Employer of Record (EOR) partners.
  • Assist with ongoing EOR administration and employee support.
Performance & People Operations
  • Coordinate the company performance review process through Lattice.
  • Support recurring People Operations initiatives and employee communications.
  • Partner with the VP, People on day-to-day operational priorities and administrative projects.
QualificationsRequired
  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations, Human Resources, or an HR Generalist role.
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, and HR administration.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and leave programs.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance requirements, including E-Verify, 401(k) administration, HR audits, and HR recordkeeping.
  • Experience with Rippling HRIS and Lattice
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Strongly Preferred
  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams and Employer of Record (EOR) employees.
  • Experience coordinating leave administration and supporting annual benefits renewals.
