Part Time Rn 20K Sign Bonus information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Registered Nurse (RN), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Registered Nurse, you need a valid RN license, strong clinical skills, and a solid understanding of patient care protocols. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, charting software, and basic medical equipment is typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and compassion help part-time RNs effectively balance patient needs within limited hours. These skills ensure safe, efficient, and patient-focused care, even in a part-time capacity.

How does working as a part-time RN differ from a full-time RN in terms of scheduling and team integration?

As a part-time RN, your work schedule typically offers more flexibility, which can be ideal for balancing personal commitments or continuing education. However, you may encounter challenges such as adapting quickly to changing patient needs and integrating with a team that may work different shifts. Communication and staying up-to-date on unit protocols are essential to ensure seamless patient care. Many healthcare facilities foster strong teamwork and provide support to part-time staff, but being proactive in connecting with colleagues will help you stay aligned with the team's goals.

What is a Part Time RN with a 20K sign-on bonus?

A Part Time RN (Registered Nurse) with a 20K sign-on bonus is a nursing professional who works part-time hours and is offered a $20,000 bonus as an incentive for joining a healthcare facility. The sign-on bonus is typically paid out over a period of time and may require the nurse to commit to working for the employer for a certain duration. This role involves providing patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams, but on a reduced schedule compared to full-time positions. Part-time RNs may have flexible hours, which can be ideal for those balancing work with other commitments.

About Superior Hospice:
Superior Hospice is the newest member of the Home Health Care, Inc. family, which has proudly served Minnesota for over 30 years. Since launching in 2023, our CHAP-accredited team has delivered compassionate, dignified in-home hospice care across the Twin Cities, tailoring support to each patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We offer a full spectrum of hospice services—including routine care, respite, continuous, and inpatient support—alongside bereavement, integrative therapies, and 24/7 emotional support .

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Hospice Visit Nurse (RN) who thrives in the field, values patient relationships, and is excited to grow with a mission-driven organization. This role will begin as part-time, ideal for a nurse seeking flexibility, and transition to full-time as we onboard additional clients. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something new, meaningful, and built to last.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to patients’ homes, assisted living, or memory care settings to deliver routine and PRN visits
  • Provide symptom management, pain control, wound care, and clinical assessments
  • Support patients and families through active listening, education, and compassionate communication
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including MDs, social workers, chaplains, and intake staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the State of Minnesota
  • Hospice experience highly preferred (will also consider strong backgrounds in oncology, palliative, or med-surg with end-of-life exposure)
  • Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to a flexible, growing caseload
  • Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Why Join Us:

  • Be part of a startup culture—without starting from scratch (our parent company has 30+ years in healthcare)
  • Help shape the future of hospice care as we expand across the metro
  • Start part-time with room to grow into full-time based on performance and patient volume
  • Join a team that is clinician-led, supportive, and deeply mission-driven
  • Make a real difference—one visit, one family, one day at a time

Join Our Team:
If you're a nurse who’s ready to bring heart, flexibility, and clinical excellence to hospice care—and you’re excited by the chance to grow with a new team making a big impact—we want to meet you.
