Unarmed Security Officer - Part Time
Campus Security Officer
Reading, PA
$18.35/hour (+$0.25/hour for military & retired law enforcement)
KRE Security, LLC is hiring dependable officers for a Part Time Campus Security Position in a professional educational environment. This assignment offers stable hours and the opportunity to become an important part of the campus community.
No prior security experience? No problem. We will train the right candidate. If you are reliable, professional, and ready to work, we'll provide the tools and support you need to succeed.
Shift Details
  • First, Second and Overnight Shifts
  • Part Time
  • Weekends Required
  • Campus security assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout campus
  • Conduct routine foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and campus grounds
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor access procedures
  • Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
  • Document daily activity and incidents using Belfry software
  • Enforce campus policies and post orders
  • Respond appropriately to routine security and safety incidents
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, faculty, staff, students, and visitors

Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • No security experience required - training provided
  • Security, military, or law enforcement background is a plus, but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and dependable attendance
  • Ability to walk long distances and remain on foot for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Completion of in-person orientation required

Pay & Benefits
  • $18.35/hour
  • Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week
  • Paid Time Off: 40 hours after successful completion of probation
