Job description

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services to meet our customers' most demanding challenges. We are seeking a part-time (24 hours per week) Information Review and Release Analyst (IRRA) to join our Production Team in Herndon, VA. The IRRA will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing information to determine its releasability ensuring compliance with the customer's rules, regulations, and organizational policies. The role requires a high level of analytic and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Typical Duties include but not limited to:

  • Review and analyze various types of information (documents) - i.e. books, articles, academic papers, screenplays, and speeches, etc.

  • Apply critical thinking skills - identify and redact national security equities from various documents in compliance with the customer's rules, regulations, and policies

  • Perform analytic research and analysis - exploit different customer databases and ascertain / upload the appropriate metadata to manuscript cases within the team's portal/tool

  • Coordinate w/Stakeholders - coordinate with various stakeholders, including SMEs to gather and collect information and clarify any issues related to the release of information. This includes providing recommendations (i.e. alternate language to use while simultaneously maintaining the integrity of an author'snarrative) to the government review board members for approval

  • Communicate w/Customers - build rapport and communicate with the requesters to meet reasonable deadlines and provide timely and accurate responses. Respond to phone calls and emails requesting assistance related to mission requirements

  • Perform Quality Control / Assurance Checks - deliver high-quality products for our customers/requesters via implementing quality control/assurance measures

Mandatory Skills:

  • Expert in reviewing, analyzing, and redacting equities within documentation (both in electronic and hardcopy format)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of our customer's rules, regulations, and policies in terms of the review and release process

  • Demonstrated knowledge of our customer's databases and tools/systems

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and coordination skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (I.e. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Demonstrates the ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of sixteen years of relevant experience

  • Candidates resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position mentioned above, experience can be considered in lieu of a degree

TS/SCI with Poly which is transferable to this programand customer

Optional Skills:

  • Previous experience as an Information Review and Release Analyst on the Kodiak Program

  • Previous experience as an Editor and/or Associate Editor

  • Previous CADRE experience

TS/SCI with Polygraph Required Day 1


Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
