Job description

Remote | Open to candidates in the US, Canada, and Philippines
Contract Opportunities | Future & Upcoming Client Engagements
If you enjoy figuring out timekeeping rules, schedules, and system configurations - and making them actually work - this opportunity might be for you.
Align HCM is a proud partner of UKG, sharing their commitment to inspiring both businesses and the people who run them. Our remote team of Aligners is made up of talented HCM professionals who deliver exceptional service and expertise to clients around the world.
We're building a contractor bench of experienced UKG Workforce Management consultants for current and upcoming client engagements. This is an opportunity to connect with Align HCM for contract projects that match your expertise, availability, and experience.
Please note: This is a contractor bench opportunity and does not guarantee an immediate project assignment. Candidates who meet our requirements may be added to our contractor bench and contacted when a suitable client engagement becomes available.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a trusted consultant and guide for clients implementing and optimizing UKG Workforce Management solutions, including UKG WFM, UKG Pro WFM, and UKG Dimensions.
  • Support end-to-end implementation activities, including discovery, requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into effective system configurations and functional solutions.
  • Configure Workforce Management modules such as Timekeeping, Accruals, Scheduling, Personas, Business Structure, and Attendance.
  • Contribute to requirements documentation, functional designs, configuration documentation, and testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot system and configuration issues during implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders across multiple project workstreams.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and deliverables within a consulting environment.
  • Provide best-practice recommendations and functional guidance to help clients optimize their UKG WFM solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, demonstrations, and implementation discussions.
  • Maintain strong UKG product knowledge through ongoing training, certification, and continuous learning.

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Workforce Management or Time & Attendance systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with UKG WFM, UKG Pro WFM, and/or UKG Dimensions is highly preferred and considered a core requirement.
  • Experience with Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) is highly relevant and will be considered, particularly for candidates with strong WFM implementation experience.
  • Experience with UKG UTA (Ultimate Time & Attendance) or other legacy UKG timekeeping platforms is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with system configuration, testing, deployment, and go-live support for Workforce Management implementations.
  • Experience configuring modules such as Timekeeping, Accruals, Scheduling, Personas, Business Structure, and/or Attendance.
  • Client-facing implementation, consulting, or solution delivery experience within an HCM/WFM environment.
  • Experience leading a module, workstream, or significant portion of an implementation project.
  • Strong understanding of Workforce Management concepts, including timekeeping rules, pay rules, schedules, accruals, attendance, and employee data structures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with distributed project teams.
  • Willingness to participate in UKG product training, certification programs, and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Contractor readiness: Willingness and ability to engage on a contract basis when a suitable client opportunity becomes available.
  • Availability: Clearly defined current or upcoming availability, including expected notice period and potential start date for contract engagements.
  • Ability to commit to agreed project schedules and deliverables once assigned to a client engagement.
  • For US and Canada candidates: Ability to travel for client engagements as needed, up to 10%.
  • For Philippines candidates: Remote position; travel is not required.
  • Candidates must have valid authorization to work in their respective country. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to Have
  • Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • UKG certification or relevant UKG product certification.
  • Experience working with North American clients.
  • Experience supporting integrations or troubleshooting WFM-related system issues.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior consultants.
  • Experience working across multiple UKG WFM modules or complex multi-workstream implementations.

Why Align HCM?
  • Impact: Help organizations improve and optimize their workforce management processes.
  • Growth: Gain exposure to diverse client environments and deepen your UKG WFM expertise.
  • Flexibility: Work remotely with the tools and support you need to succeed.
  • Collaboration: Partner with experienced HCM consultants who enjoy solving complex problems together.
