Job description

ARTECHOUSE, a leader in experiential digital art, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to independently own our core accounting operations — fully remote, part-time. This is a great fit for a seasoned accounting professional who enjoys autonomy, values flexibility, and is confident running the books solo without a large team behind them.

If you're organized, self-directed, and want meaningful, steady part-time work you can manage on your own schedule, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Own
  • Payroll processing and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements for three states.
  • Monthly transaction reconciliations of all bank and credit card accounts
  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
  • Sales tax calculations and filings across jurisdictions
  • Monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
  • Quarterly financial reporting for leadership
  • Month-end and year-end close processes
  • Budgeting and forecasting as needed
  • Support external tax preparers/auditors with documentation and schedules as needed
  • Flag discrepancies or process gaps proactively and suggest improvements where relevant
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
  • 5+ years of full-cycle, hands-on accounting experience — not entry-level
  • Comfortable owning the full accounting cycle independently
  • Strong QuickBooks, ADP and Excel skills
  • Self-starter who communicates proactively and doesn't need close supervision
  • Prior experience as a sole or lead accounting contributor is a big plus
  • Prior experience in multi-unit retail, museums, attractions, or hospitality is a plus
Compensation

$65,000
