Position Summary

Bridor is seeking a Retail Regional Sales Manager with a genuine passion for bakery to drive retail growth throughout the Western United States.

This position requires an established network of relationships with retail buyers, category managers, brokers, and distributors, particularly those connected to leading grocery and retail food chains on the West Coast. The Regional Sales Manager will use these relationships to introduce Bridor’s premium bakery products, develop new business, expand existing accounts, and strengthen Bridor’s presence within In-Store Bakery, Deli, and Fresh perimeter departments.

The ideal candidate understands how Bakery and Deli categories operate, how category reviews are conducted, and how leading retailers evaluate and commercialize new products. This individual should be enthusiastic about bakery products and able to turn strong industry relationships into sustainable sales growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished retail sales professional to represent a premium bakery brand and play a visible role in Bridor’s continued U.S. expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow strategic retail accounts throughout the Western United States
  • Develop new business with leading grocery and retail food chains on the West Coast
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, brokers, distributors, and other key decision-makers
  • Introduce and present Bridor’s premium bakery products to prospective and existing customers
  • Lead category reviews, business reviews, product presentations, and customer meetings
  • Identify assortment, merchandising, private-label, and category-growth opportunities
  • Develop and execute account-growth plans and regional sales strategies
  • Use category insights, customer data, and market trends to support recommendations
  • Maintain direct ownership of customer relationships while working with broker and distributor partners when appropriate
  • Manage sales forecasts, account activity, business opportunities, and customer information
  • Partner with Marketing, Research and Development, Operations, and senior leadership to support customer-growth initiatives
  • Represent Bridor at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
Required Qualifications
  • Five to ten years of retail food sales experience
  • A genuine passion for bakery products and the premium bakery industry
  • An established network of contacts with retail buyers, category managers, brokers, and distributors
  • Strong relationships with leading grocery and retail food chains on the West Coast
  • Experience selling directly to grocery retail organizations
  • Strong understanding of In-Store Bakery, Deli, and Fresh perimeter departments
  • Experience with category reviews, assortment planning, merchandising discussions, and retail buying processes
  • Experience presenting directly to retail buyers and category managers
  • Understanding of how grocery retailers evaluate, approve, and commercialize Bakery and Deli products
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and growing strategic retail accounts
  • Residence in California with access to a major airport
  • Ability to travel 50–70%
Preferred Experience
  • Private-label sales experience
  • Experience selling bakery products, frozen bakery products, laminated dough products, croissants, pastries, artisan breads, or related premium bakery categories
  • Existing relationships with major grocery retailers throughout the Western United States
  • Experience managing customer relationships directly rather than relying primarily on broker networks
  • Experience within Bakery, Deli, Fresh Foods, or retail food-manufacturing categories
What Will Make You Successful
  • Enthusiasm for premium bakery products and the ability to communicate that passion to customers
  • Established credibility with retail buyers, brokers, distributors, and category managers
  • Strong understanding of grocery retail buying processes and category-management practices
  • Ability to convert industry relationships into new accounts and sustainable sales growth
  • Strategic approach to account planning and business development
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to work independently from a home office while collaborating across departments
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned region
  • Results-focused approach with strong follow-through and accountability
Compensation and Sales Incentives
  • Base salary of $110,000–$120,000
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Monthly vehicle stipend
  • Mileage reimbursement for eligible business travel
Benefits at Bridor USA
