Job description

All Care Wellness is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for our New Bedford clinic. Currently we have openings for both Full Time and Part Time Remote positions. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting intakes and assessments, group therapy, individual therapy, aftercare, and a minimum of 2 years work experience in the chemical dependency field and a masters degree. In order to succeed in our fast-paced environment, the candidate will be motivated and a self-starter. Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, our counselors are ultimately responsible for providing individual and group therapy to patients suffering from substance abuse disorder.
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients mental and physical health, addiction, or problematic behavior and assess their readiness for treatment
  • Utilize various therapeutic models and theories to understand and plan intervention strategies for patients
  • Complete screening, intakes, assessments, treatment plans and discharge summary as needed throughout course of patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and properly maintain patient records in our electronic medical record system
  • Develop, recommend, and review treatment goals and plans with patients and their families
  • Assist patients in developing skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify their behavior
  • Work with patients to identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery
  • Collaborate with other community agencies as necessary for optimal patient care
  • Attend monthly multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss progress and/or barriers to patient care
  • Uses a combination of individual and group counseling sessions to help patients and observe their attitudes and readiness to accept help and guidance.
  • Educates patients about community-based organizations such as Alcoholics Anonymous and social and employment services that may help restore them to productive roles in the community.
  • Maintains case histories and progress reports. Modifies treatment programs based on observation.
  • Assists patients with coping with family problems and recommend appropriate social services as support for the entire family
