Hourly Rate: $90-$95/hour (1099)

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager (Part-Time, 1099) to support a federal government customer.
This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with a strong background in Agile project management and application development who can lead multiple projects simultaneously while working in a primarily remote environment.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the lead Project Manager supporting multiple application development and operations & maintenance (O&M) efforts
  • Develop and manage Agile-based project management solutions and frameworks
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and cost estimates; manage project budgets
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, gather requirements, and document outcomes
  • Ensure meeting minutes and requirements are captured and maintained for all engagements
  • Communicate project status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders and federal IT leadership
  • Oversee quality delivery to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Manage change control processes and project documentation including design, implementation, testing, and user guides
  • Coordinate and manage multiple contractor resources across projects
  • Provide detailed timekeeping and reporting for billable hours as required
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Lead weekly project management meetings and provide regular progress updates

  • 8-10+ years of experience managing multiple IT application development and O&M projects
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and lifecycles, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams
  • Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices

Work Environment
  • Approximately 90% remote work
  • Up to 10% may include occasional in-person meetings, training, or team collaboration

  • This is a part-time 1099 contractor role you must be local to the DMV area
  • Candidates must be able to pass a government security background check to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This process may take several weeks, and work cannot begin until successfully completed
