Job description

Overview

CTG is seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to lead strategic, operational, clinical, and technology initiatives across a healthcare provider organization. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects that improve patient care, operational efficiency, and organizational performance while ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, timelines, and budgets.

Location: Remote
Duration: Short term, Part-Time (4 months, 15-20 hours/week)

The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare project management experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. This individual thrives in cross-functional environments and has a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within regulated healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and project closeout.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, communication plans, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with business and clinical stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring quality, timeline, and budget objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation and corrective action plans.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, administrative, and IT teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and third-party partners.
  • Ensure projects comply with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and applicable accreditation standards.
  • Support initiatives related to HIPAA, CMS, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Prepare project performance reports, financial analyses, and executive-level presentations.
  • Promote project management best practices, continuous improvement, and organizational change management initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows, project delivery, and patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing strategic, operational, clinical, or technology projects within a healthcare provider environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion.
  • Experience developing project plans, budgets, timelines, risk management strategies, and executive reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, CMS, and accreditation standards.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating external project resources.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and project management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare technology implementations, system upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80.00 to $82.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
