Part-Time Corporate Leadership Instructional Designer for Premium Boutique Training Firm in Metro NY

Our client, a premium boutique corporate soft-skills leadership training firm in the metro New York area is seeking a part-time (approximately 29 hours/week) Leadership Instructional Designer to support its diverse and growing client portfolio. The firm designs and delivers customized learning solutions in the areas of soft skills, management training, and leadership development for organizations across a variety of industries.

The Instructional Designer will collaborate with colleagues and clients, manage projects, and customize high-quality corporate leadership learning solutions. For the right individual, this position has the potential to evolve into a full-time role and/or assume broader leadership responsibilities in the future.

Candidates should be located in the Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.

Instructional Designer responsibilities

  • Manage assigned training projects from planning through delivery
  • Communicate directly with clients, including participating in planning and review meetings, gathering requirements, sharing materials, asking questions, and providing project updates
  • Estimate effort, timelines, and customization costs for client engagements
  • Tailor existing training materials (prework, slide decks, workbooks, etc.) based on client needs while adhering to internal protocols and quality standards
