Strickland’s is a family owned and operated business; serving Ontario since 1974. We began modestly, and have grown into a multidimensional company offering both new and used vehicles. We now have 4 dealership locations catering to every area of today’s market, all centrally located in Ontario.

We are seeking a friendly and organized Casual Part-Time Receptionist to join our team at Strickland's Stratford Automart. As the first point of contact for our dealership, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and callers.

We’re excited to announce this opportunity due to a new and exciting vacancy! We’re looking for talented individuals to join our team and grow with us.

Schedule & Availability:

This is a casual part-time role with a flexible schedule. The successful candidate must be available for:

  • Monday & Wednesday evening shifts (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
  • Occasional Saturdays (9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
  • Occasional daytime shifts to provide coverage during staff vacations or absences

Applications are welcome from eligible high school, college, and university students, as well as other candidates seeking flexible, casual part-time employment. Due to the casual nature of this position and occasional coverage requirements, applicants should reside within approximately a 30-minute commute of Stratford.

Job Duties:

  • Greet and welcome visitors to the dealership in a warm and professional manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments or staff members.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about the dealership’s services and products.
  • Schedule appointments for customers with sales, service, and finance departments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a positive first impression for visitors.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Assist with clerical support for various departments as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with special projects and events as assigned by the Office Manager.

Successful Candidates Possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in an automotive or retail setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using office equipment, such as multi-line phone systems, computers, and printers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
