We are seeking a motivated and friendly First Impression Specialist (FIS) to join our team in a busy pediatric urgent care center. As the first point of contact for patients and their families, you will be responsible for greeting them, checking them in, and ensuring that their visit is as comfortable as possible. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong customer service orientation. Urgent Care for Children
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients and their families as they arrive
  • Register patients, verify their insurance information, and collect all necessary payments during registration
  • Ensure that patient information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, their families, healthcare providers, and team members
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room
  • Provide patients and their families with information about Urgent Care for Children's services and policies
  • Communicate with all team members to ensure that patient needs are met
  • Manage patient flow to ensure that wait times are minimized and online reservations and walk-ins are kept on schedule
  • Handle any issues or concerns that patients or their families may have in a professional and compassionate manner

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or receptionist role
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred (experience with eCW a plus)
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and co-pays
  • Must be a team player and willing to work in a team setting

Clinics are open after hours and weekends. Must be willing to work evenings and two weekends a month.
