District: Cuyahoga Heights Schools
Location: Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School
Hours: Up to 10 hours per week (afternoons only)
Hourly Rate: Based on experience and qualifications
Position Summary:
Cuyahoga Heights Elementary is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Reading Tutor to support students in developing foundational literacy skills for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will focus on providing structured, research-based reading intervention aligned with the Science of Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
? Provide small group reading intervention to students across grade levels during afternoon hours
? Implement evidence-based practices grounded in Structured Literacy
? Track student progress and collaborate with classroom teachers and intervention teams
? Support students in developing phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills
Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience or training in Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading
? Certification or training in Wilson Reading System or Orton-Gillingham (preferred, not required)
? Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
? Strong communication and collaboration skills
Additional Information:
? Position is part-time not to exceed 10 hours per week
