Description

Behavior Frontiers specializes in providing applied behavior analysis treatment to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in their home and community settings. We are looking for a diagnostician to join our team to conduct diagnostic evaluations for individuals who may have autism. The diagnostician will be responsible for independently providing diagnostic and developmental assessments for children and adolescents referred to our agency for developmental, behavioral, medical, and psychological challenges.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct autism spectrum or psychological assessments, analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reports
  • Provide feedback to clients after evaluations
  • Communicate with team members during the evaluation process as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

EMPLOYMENT / CONTRACTOR STRUCTURE

Candidates may work as a part time employee or as an independent contractor.

  • Part time employees will be paid $125 per hour. The position may increase to full time status as referrals permit.
  • Independent contractors will be paid $1,000 per completion of each report.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure

Candidates may include any one of the following:

  • Licensed psychologist

Work Experience

  • Two-three years’ experience, in which a significant portion of time has been spent in diagnosing ASD; Postdoctoral experience may be included
  • Experience administering various standardized diagnostic measures, as well as psychological and autism spectrum assessment tools to diagnose and/or rule out autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability
  • Experience in health care settings preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Knowledge/Skills

  • Proficiency in the following psychometric instruments:
    • ADOS-2
    • ADI-R
    • CARS
    • GARS-2
    • Vineland-3
    • SRS-2
    • ABAS-3
    • WISC-V
  • Extensive knowledge of DSM-5
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with families, schools, and ASD service providers in child’s community
  • Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills
