About the Role

HealthOPM is currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join a welcoming retirement home in the Goderich Town area. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and making a positive difference in the lives of seniors, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living
  • Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting resident independence
  • Assist with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping as required
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Adhere to infection prevention, health and safety, and organizational policies
Qualifications
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized Ontario program
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 12 months)
  • Current TB screening/clearance
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in retirement or long-term care is an asset
