Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills enable effective support for clients and collaboration with healthcare teams. These skills and qualities ensure safe, respectful, and high-quality care for clients in diverse settings.

What is a part time personal support worker?

Part-time PSWs, or Personal Support Workers, are healthcare professionals who assist individuals with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, but work fewer hours than full-time staff. They often provide support in homes, long-term care facilities, or community settings on a flexible or scheduled part-time basis. This role is ideal for those seeking work-life balance or who have other commitments, while still making a meaningful difference in clients' lives.

Is being a part time PSW a stressful job?

Part-time Personal Support Workers (PSWs) often experience stress due to the physically and emotionally demanding nature of providing care, managing multiple clients, and handling emergencies. The level of stress can vary based on workload, work environment, and support systems, but it is generally considered a job that requires resilience and strong communication skills.
