Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Driver/Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle testing and operational assessments using specialized equipment and techniques. Your energetic approach will help ensure rigorous testing standards are met while maintaining safety and quality throughout the process. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of automotive testing innovation.

Kett Engineering is seeking a driver to support a test project that will be running out of our client's facility in Madison Heights, MI.


The candidate will need to be flexible and willing to work any shift. Shifts will be 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.


Monday - Friday, 5pm-1am (subject to change, flexibility required)


Responsibilities:

  • Operate data acquisition system (training provided but computer tagging, software, troubleshooting experience a major plus).
  • Enter shift information into customer database.
  • Able to identify vehicle issues and document them in detail to client and engineering team.
  • Effectively communicate with client and Kett Engineering team members.


Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, as needed, to different cities throughout the country.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 5 years licensed driving experience.
  • ADAS driving/charging experience is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work different shift times as test parameters are subject to change.
  • Clean driving record for the last 3 years with no suspensions, moving violations, points or accidents.
  • No alcohol related violations within the last 10 year.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the work site.
  • Experience working with data acquisition systems or similar technical equipment.
  • Comfortable operating computers and technical systems.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other written instructions.
  • Ability to receive feedback and adapt to updated procedures and workflows.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Basic Linux / command line familiarity.
  • Understanding of files, directories, and basic terminal usage.
