Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Engineer to join our team. The Building Engineer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of a large commercial building. This position requires a thorough understanding of safety practices, building systems, and general maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on all building systems and equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and fire life safety.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assess the building for potential safety hazards.
- Maintenance responsibilities such as painting both interior and exterior areas.
- Working knowledge of power tools and hand tools.
- Understands and complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures, job description and other instructions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical trade school certification preferred or 2-3 years facilities work experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain gaming license.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor.
- Requires mobility through entire shift.
- Requires carrying supplies for repair and installation.
- Bending and reaching from floor level to approximately six (6) feet high
- Requires pushing and/or pulling heavy equipment or supplies on carts/dollies upwards of two hundred (200) pounds.
- Requires working with cleaning equipment and the ability to tolerate the presence and use of chemicals, cleansers and solvents.
- Ability to lift, carry and manipulate supplies weighing approximately eighty (80) pounds.
- Work is performed throughout the entire property.
- Varying from outdoors to confined engineering spaces and the casino floor, with minimal time spent doing "office" work.
- Regular contact with staff and other departments, some guest contact.
- Ability to tolerate harsh weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat; sun, wind, rain and snow exposure.
- Loud and/or consistent noise level, illumination and heights.
- All conditions associated with normal building maintenance, including, but not limited to, power and hand tools, machinery, and chemicals.
Salary Range: $20-$25 per hour (Depending on Experience)
