Job description

Got maintenance experience, want in on a company going from 1,500 to 3,500 doors, want a career path?

As a Rental Property Inspector, you'll walk scattered site homes, document every condition with photos and 360 degree imagery, write the repair scope, and rekey the locks. Nothing gets rented until you sign off.

Your Schedule

  • Standard hours: Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM
  • Occasional evening / weekend inspections when turnover volume spikes (paid OT)
  • Heavier first & last few days couple days of month

What You Get:

  • Salary: $21.00-$25.00 USD per hour
  • Monthly Bonus: Up to 7% bonus based on performance each month
  • Gas Stipend: Up to $150/week to keep you on the road
  • Book Club: Company funded reading program worth up to $500 per year
  • Referral Program: Refer a hired team member and receive a $1,000 bonus
  • Paid Time Off: 10 accrued PTO days per year
  • Paid Birthday: Take a paid day off during your birthday month
  • Paid Holidays: 7 paid holidays recognized annually

What You'll Do:

  • Complete Rent Ready Walks and QC inspections on vacant homes, on deadline
  • Inspect the full interior and exterior, top to bottom
  • Identify and report deficiencies across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, trim, doors, windows, and appliances (you document it, you don't repair it)
  • Flag safety hazards, code issues, and missing or failed life safety devices
  • Build the repair scope in our app so the crew knows exactly what needs doing
  • Capture full photo and 360 degree documentation of every property
  • Perform residential lock rekeys and install, replace, or remove lockboxes
  • Confirm every home is Clean, Safe, and Functional before a resident gets keys
  • Hold vendors to the standard by flagging incomplete or sloppy turnover work
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with property managers, dispatch, and vendors
  • Submit completed inspection reports same day
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and organized vehicle

Who We're Looking For:

  • Detail First Mindset: You catch what other people walk past, and you write it up so someone else can act on it
  • Hands On Experience: 1+ years completing residential inspections, rent ready walks, or scattered site property management work
  • Construction Knowledge: You understand residential systems and components, and you can name what you're looking at
  • Scope Writer: You can build a repair scope, not just flag a problem
  • Tech Comfortable: Fast on a smartphone and tablet, able to learn multiple inspection apps without hand holding, and 360 degree camera experience is a plus
  • Self Starter: Able to work independently, communicate effectively, and be proactive
  • Reliable & Responsive: Valid U.S. driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, full auto insurance, and available for occasional after hours or weekend inspections
  • Physically Able: On your feet up to 8 hours, stairs and ladders, carrying up to 25 pounds of equipment, in all weather
  • Background Check: Must pass a pre employment background screening
